Fifteen is an M2 MBA and Sellotape is a 2019 iMac. Each operating Sequoia.
Earlier than Sequoia I used to be in a position to log in to both machine from the opposite. Now it fails:
Fifteen:~ mnewman$ ssh sellotape
ssh: hook up with host sellotape port 22: Operation timed out
Until I take advantage of native appended to the hostname:
Fifteen:~ mnewman$ ssh sellotape.native
Final login: Wed Oct 2 15:49:39 2024 from fe80::4d5:db02:81d6:74d5percenten0
Sellotape:~ mnewman$
I do not know sufficient about networking to grasp why this works. Can anybody clarify?
